CPU
The Gigabyte Z790 AORUS ELITE​( LGA 1700 ) DDR5 motherboard supports the 13th and 12th Generation Intel® Core™, Pentium® Gold, and Celeron® Processors with an LGA1700 socket. The L3 cache varies depending on the CPU. For more information on supported CPUs, please refer to the “CPU Support List.”

The motherboard features the Intel® Z790 Express Chipset.

Memory
The Gigabyte Z790 AORUS ELITE​( LGA 1700 ) DDR5 motherboard supports DDR5 memory modules. It can support DDR5 memory modules with speeds of 7600(O.C.) /7400(O.C.) /7200(O.C.) /7000(O.C.) /6800(O.C.) /6600(O.C.) / 6400(O.C.) / 6200(O.C.) / 6000(O.C.) / 5800(O.C.) / 5600(O.C.) / 5400(O.C.) / 5200(O.C.) / 4800 / 4000. There are 4 DDR5 DIMM sockets, supporting up to 192 GB of system memory (48 GB single DIMM capacity). The motherboard supports dual-channel memory architecture and can accommodate ECC Un-buffered DIMM 1Rx8/2Rx8 memory modules (operate in non-ECC mode) as well as non-ECC Un-buffered DIMM 1Rx8/2Rx8/1Rx16 memory modules. It also supports Extreme Memory Profile (XMP) memory modules. The supported memory types, data rate (speed), and number of DRAM modules can be affected by the CPU and memory configuration. Onboard Graphics
The motherboard features integrated graphics support with Intel® HD Graphics. It includes 1 HDMI port (supporting a maximum resolution of 4096×2160@60 Hz) and 1 DisplayPort (supporting a maximum resolution of 4096×2304@60). The graphics specifications may vary depending on CPU support.

Audio
The motherboard is equipped with a Realtek® Audio CODEC that provides high-definition audio. It supports 2/4/5.1/7.1-channel audio. The functionality of the audio jacks can be configured using the audio software. It also supports S/PDIF Out.

LAN
The motherboard features a Realtek® 2.5GbE LAN chip, providing LAN connectivity at speeds of 2.5 Gbps, 1 Gbps, or 100 Mbps.

Wireless Communication module
The motherboard includes an Intel® Wi-Fi 6E AX211 module, which supports Wi-Fi standards a, b, g, n, ac, ax. It operates on 2.4/5/6 GHz carrier frequency bands and supports Bluetooth 5.3. The module supports the 11ax 160MHz wireless standard with a data rate of up to 2.4 Gbps (actual data rate may vary depending on the environment and equipment).
